French roast

Roasting darker than this would be to go to a place where all hope is lost and so is your roastery, because it burned to the ground. The green coffee used must be dense and of a most excellent quality to withstand the rigours of heat applied. Varietal distinction of any coffee chosen becomes a rose coloured memory. French Roast brews a bracing, pleasant cup to the initiated and is marked by a bittersweet tang, smokey grace notes and a buttery plushness to the body. Blushes nicely with the addition of heavy cream.
